Dave was one of the characters at Matlock teacher training college.He was in the same year as me but 2 years older. A fit scrum playing rugby player and one of the lads with his sense of humour and time in and behind the bar. Always with a ready smile and pleasant manner. He worked hard on and off the rugby field. I knew him best as one of the 'top Ryber' B'Ed. Students and was impressed by his caring dissertation on the effects of lead in petrol on children- early days for such a topic.
Years later we reaqainted on F.B. and enjoyed being proud of our families, our dogs and enjoying a sense of humour.
