Dave was one of the first people I met at Matlock being in the same Education group and I often would cadge a lift to lectures to save the haul back up the hill on foot. He was gentle giant and I loved his wicked sense of humour. He gave good hugs too! I haven't seen him for a long time but we kept in touch at Christmas, it was good to recognise his familiar writing coming through the letter box. Will miss that this year. Shirley x
